This blog I stumbled upon while looking for Linux related blogs is great! It’s got plenty of handy tips and tweaks to get Linux the way I wanted it.

So, the Olympics. Here they are again, has it really been 4 years since the last one? And upon viewing some of it, nope, nothing has really changed, just a bunch of people I vaguely connect with sports doing various gruelling and not-so-gruelling things. Why do they persist? The medals and trophies are all very well and good to have, but when you get right down to it, what have they achieved? Only the record-breakers really have anything to be proud about. Has this helped olympic runners get a family? A home in which they are loved? Probably not. And notice how I didn’t mention money; money, although useful, isn’t the most important object in the world. Yes, it helps. But it is not a vital requirement to stay alive. Perhaps in society and civilization it is, but I am sure that people would be able to grow their own should they put their minds to it: become hunter-gatherers as it were.
