Mmm…

A delicious smell is wafting up the stairs. Roast Chicken.

Roast Chicken! How can I describe the delights?! And not only Roast Chicken, tonight, there’s a twist. Not the beloved Mash. Not the Christmasesque Roast Potatoes with Yorkshire Puddings. Chips.

Gloriously crispy golden Chips, with soft creamy potato in their little batter casings. Slightly salty, with a hint of vinegar here and there, mingling perfectly with the taste of the Chicken. Thick cut rectangular delicious capsules of tasty goodness.

Ah. And it’s only 5 minutes away.

Morning, Folks

It’s 10 AM here in Scotland, so good morning everyone!

Today I have several goals;
1. Do some stuff.
2. Do some cool stuff.
3. Blog about said stuff and cool stuff.
4. Eat food.

I love food, and I’ve been blessed with a metabolism that allows me to eat anything I like and still stay the same weight. It’ll probably disappear around 21-25 though, just like my Dad. :D

Happiness is a Steak Pie

I had a real meal tonight.

Keep your lobster, keep your fancy-panted Paté de Fois Gras, keep your garlic bread and your posh game soups.

I had a real meal.

Steak pie and beans. The beans, perfect in their fluidity and savour; their hinting tomato and slightly saline flavour, mingling perfectly with the crisp goodness of the gently flaking pastry; merging deep with the thick, dark, almost black gravy, and the chunks of meat that have been kept salted before having been bathed once more in their own fat and bubbled with stock and thickened with cornflour. All the flavours come together in a celebration of delicious goodness, filled to the brim with taste, flavour, and rich happiness.

As you can tell, I love my food. And yet I have this awesome metabolism; whatever I eat, I stay the same shape and weight. A steady 7 stone.
